Raphael Sander advises and represents national and international companies in all areas of patent, trade mark and employee invention law. He has conducted numerous patent application and opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office and the German Patent and Trademark Office. He also represents his clients in defending and enforcing their IP rights in nullity and infringement proceedings before the Federal Patent Court and the Regional and Higher Regional Courts.
Raphael Sander studied electrical engineering and information technology at the University of the German Armed Forces in Munich during his time as an officer. In 2014, he obtained his Master of Science degree.
Raphael Sander has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2016. He is also authorized to handle patent applications and patents that constitute a state secret, i.e. he is allowed to process so-called “secret applications” and “secret patents”. He has been “Of Counsel” for the firm since 2024.
Raphael Sander´s professional focus is on the one hand on electrical engineering and information technology, in particular power electronics, electrical machines and drives, automatic control engineering, energy technology, photovoltaic and semiconductor technology and computer-implemented inventions, and on the other hand in vehicle technology, in particular in the automotive sector and braking systems.
